From
theapiary.org - At a posh Union Square rooftop, New York comedians Aalap Patel and Abbi Crutchfield recently hobnobbed with the brains behind some of the Web's funniest videos at DailyMotion.com's Summer Screening Under the Stars. After watching a bevy of comedy videos and enjoying a dinner of popcorn and candy platters, the duo sent us their favorite picks.

Barack-Obamasistible (
by Detroit Octane)
Apparently you can just add "-sistible," to any phrase, and I laugh at it. Hopefully this will help Barack the Vote. Sorry.
•
The Cheese Incident (
by Adam Schleichkorn and Peter Toh)
Once again, proving you don't need a plot or even some clever conceit to make me laugh -- just good cheese-throwing. It's like a Jackass prank but nicer and tastier. Plus your pets love it.
•
Romano Sings (
by Pete Holmes, dir. by Oren Brimer)
Pete Holmes will have a back-up career as a Ray Romano impersonator if he needs it. Once again I love the simple laughs.
Aalap says, "Keep it simple and execute the crap out of it!"
Abbi Crutchfield -
•
The Tree (
by John Roberts, dir. by Clay Weiner)
Long Island matriarchs have never been so accurately depicted -- if you can call tattoos, a five o'clock shadow and an ill-fitted red wig accurate.
•
Dead Girls Gone Wild (
by These People Comedy, dir. by Matt Cassatta)
For those who thought it impossible to top the poor taste of the notorious, low-budget videos, behold a satire that gets two (decomposing, sexy) thumbs up.
•
The Cheese Incident (
by Adam Schleichknorn and Peter Toh)
For all the parodies and send-ups (including a Daniel Plainview impression that still tickles me, H.W.) that were shown, I had a fondness for the original. Up with smacking people in the face with processed cheese!
Abbi says, "Original concepts make for funnier videos. But you can't deny good parodies. Pair o' deez NUTS!"
