Exclusive Interview with the Dramatic Cat

Adam Schleichkorn Friday, April 4, 2008 , ,
An exclusive interview with the Drama Prairie Cat (aka dramatic cat, dramatic kitty) was scheduled, but due to tight booking she canceled. Thankfully we were able to interview the Drama Prairie Cat's real-life brother, Mylo, who is still much cooler than the dramatic lemur and the dramatic chipmunk. This is a very exclusive interview, hosted by Adam Schleichkorn.

"Gloria" (Dancing Inmates - Protest Dance)

Ummm, yea. I never realized that this was a protest song! Check out the description...

This is a protest dance by the dancing inmates on Jun Lozada comments on the inmates beloved Cardinal Vidal when he called the Cardinal the "Archbishop of the Palace" and His Lady companion called the Cardinal "a Congressman in a cassock" The dancing inmates feel that these comments is unfair and unjust vilification of the archdiocese of Cebu, Cardinal Vidal whom they regard so highly.

The Killers of Comedy Featured on Youtube

Adam Schleichkorn
Check out the Comedy Spotlight today on Youtube for "The Promoter - Episode 2" by the Killers of Comedy. This is officially the first Howard Stern related clip to be featured on Youtube. But of course just like Howard ALWAYS points out, they pulled the move of honoring them, and putting them down at the same time, as the headline reads "Stern Show Weirdos on Tour". I mean, I guess it's kind of fitting, but either way, unnecessary. They totally could have put "Stern Show Comedians on Tour" or something along those lines. I'm not complaining, as I'm very happy that they were featured, but I bet Steve Lankford is already on top of it!

God Save The Knicks

Don't get too excited yet Knicks fans. I'm talking to both of you. Just because Grampa Walsh is taking over basketball operations for the Knickerbockers does not mean we are out of the woods yet. Not by a long shot.
Let me tell you both something. No one knows more about this shit storm we call a team than me. First of all, I knew Walsh was coming to the Knicks nearly a month ago. How, you ask? Unnamed sources, I answer. Let's just say I have my ear to the ground, and you don't- got it? Now, on to more pressing matters.
Hiring Walsh is a step in the right direction. But more needs to be done. Much more. I wrote about how to fix the Knicks a while back, but I think my blog was nixed, pun intended, by the almighty boss of bosses, Schleichkorn. Anyhoo, today is a new day, so I'm about to do Donnie a big solid. I know he reads my blog religiously, so here goes. This is how to fix the Knicks:

1. Fire Isiah and hire a real coach- This is long over due. The chump needs to go. So long, d-bag.

2. Draft Derrick Rose- We are going to get a top draft pick. If the balls bounce our way, or if the fix is in (see 1985 draft), we can easily land the number 1 or number 2 pick. We need a real point guard, and Derrick Rose fits the bill.

3. Trade Stephon Marbury for Jermaine O'Neal- Steph has a $21 million expiring contract, and the Pacers are in a transitional mode. They will be looking to dump O'Neals contract, and it isn't too long to take on. O'Neal will instantly give the Knicks a shotblocking, low post all-star that they sorely lack. Who cares if he only plays 62 games a year? Eddy Curry and Zach Randolph are the non-rapping version of the Fat Boys. Speaking of which...

4. Trade Zach and Eddy- This is going to be tough. 2 fat-asses who don't play defense. Obviously they can't be traded together, but split 'em up and send 'em packin'. Just try to get some short term or expiring contracts for these losers.

5. Buy out Jerome James- No one, and I mean no one, is more useless than Big Snacks. See ya later loser. Can't trade him, so just do what I used to do with Schleichkorn- pay him to go away.

6. This leaves the Knicks with a lineup looking like this:

pg- Rose,Robinson,Collins
sg- Crawford,QRich,Jones
sf- Chandler,Balkman,Jeffries
pf-Lee,shotblocker,M.Rose
c-O'Neal,shotblocker/scorer,Morris

I realize that we need 2 other big guys who i only labeled as shotblocker and shotblocker/scorer respectively, but we can figure that out. This is a good start- if need be I'll attend camp myself and fill in those 2 empty big man slots. I get the job
done son.

A-Rod Makes More Than an Entire Team

Adam Schleichkorn ,
No wonder why he's laughing! I'd be laughing too if I made more than the entire Florida Marlins roster combined, with $6 million more on top of that! The baseball season just started, and it seems like we're not going to go a day without some new breaking A-Rod news (Jose Canseco's new book just accused Alex Rodriguez of taking steroids, and hitting on his wife). I'm just wondering how this salary story is just breaking now, did they just find their calculators? I mean, these salaries are public knowledge, is this just an old story that Yahoo is regurgitating? Well, check it out anyway, HERE

Top 10 Greatest Songs of All Time

Dan Taft Tuesday, April 1, 2008
With “Truly In Love” about to become one of the all time greats and without a doubt a true New York Summer Jam, I started thinking about what some of my other favorite songs of all time are. When you talk about bands like The Beatles, Bob Marley and The Wailers, Pink Floyd, and Led Zeppelin, you really could make a top 10, or top 100 list of each band’s songs. So it is very, very difficult to compile a list like this, people. These are my top 10 songs; mostly because a lot of these songs make me feel like I’m going to cry like a little bitch:

10. Smells Like Teen Spirit (Nirvana) - Although I don’t feel like crying when this song comes on, it must be recognized for what it did. It’s popularity created a sea change in 90’s music. Everyone thought that the 80’s sucked really hard, when in fact it produced a lot of quality music, and then the 90’s came. It was a dark time for music in general, kind of similar to today, when cheesy crap and image was more important and popular then quality music. Then Nirvana blew up with this little diddy, and everything changed. Grunge music took over, and a bunch of great bands that never would have seen the time of day began appearing all over MTV and the radio and music was actually really good for a while. Thanks Nirvana.

9. Billy Jean (Michael Jackson) - No song will make people dance more incessantly than this one. The second you hear those first notes, you change from just another dorky white guy into Tito Jackson himself. You can move it and shake it with the best of them, cause when it comes to dance hits they just don’t make ‘em like this anymore, do they? No they do not.

8. Freebird (Lynard Skynard) - Watch House of 1000 Corpses, then watch The Devil’s Rejects and tell me you’ve ever seen a better match of film and song then the end of Devil’s Rejects and Freebird. This song really is just classic; there are no 2 ways about it- don’t fight it- just give in to the Freebird- you cannot fight that guitar solo my friend.

7. Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd) - Sometimes I convince myself that Pink Floyd is the greatest band ever. They kind of sample their own songs into other songs, and they are not just ahead of their time, they’re kind of ahead of our time. “We Don’t Need No Education” and “Comfortably Numb” are great songs, but “Wish you Were Here” just has that riff and that feeling that makes not only me cry like a little bitch, but also makes you cry like a wee little bitch. Right? Right.

6. Under The Bridge (Red Hot Chili Peppers) - You can deny it all you want people, but if you’re around my age, 27, The Chili Peppers are our Beatles (I am fully aware that The Chili Peppers cannot be compared to the Beatles, but, sue me). They are the band of our lifetime; they evolved, they have been around since the early 80’s, and they are the most consistently awesome band of the last 3 decades in my modest opinion. This tune was their best. Very personal song that only Anthony Keidis and I could ever fully understand; maybe one day I will explain it to you, squirt.

5. What’s Going On (Marvin Gaye) - Marvin Gaye was the voice of a people during a time when they would not be heard. He spoke for the oppressed, and this song is a beautiful example of his musical mastery and ability to create a powerful message within an ultra creative and expressive medium. Any song that Mos Def samples gets a certain amount of respect anyway, but Marvin really was just the man, plain and simple.

4. Imagine (John Lennon) - He just kind of got it, didn’t he? As great as the Beatles were, only John could write a song this powerful; I’m serial. It’s a beautiful, catchy song, but lyrically you just can’t fuck with it. He pretty much pinpoints the roots of a whole shitload of problems that we experience on earth. Nothing screws shit up more than organized religion and differentiating countries and peoples. Word.

3. Redemption Song (Bob Marley) - Bob Marley is probably my favorite musician of all time. I could easily do a top 10 of just his songs (and maybe I will), but this one is the one that makes Adam Schleichkorn cry every time he hears it. I think Bob must have been an African who was enslaved in a previous life, because this song is just so fucking personal and real. His guitar and his voice; God, I promised myself I wouldn’t do this, hold it in, hold it in; it just really gets to me, ya know?

2. Stairway to Heaven (Led Zeppelin) - Wayne Campbell isn’t the only one who loves this song. I also love it. Yes, everyone has heard this song 900,000 times. Who cares? The way it progresses, or builds, in layman’s terms, is fantabulous. Led Zeppelin can do no wrong, except when they decide to work with Poo Doody.

1. Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen) - Wayne Campbell isn’t the only one who loves this, oh wait, I did that already. Why does every great band have to either break up or someone must die? This song has everything; great story and lyrics, awesome instrumentals, and it changes like 8 times. It’s almost like a song from a Broadway play except it’s good. Not just good, but THE GREATEST SONG OF ALL TIMES……..

No, not from Sirius, that would be my biggest nightmare. This clip is from just one day after Stern was fired from WNBC, and he made the rounds on the local news shows in New York. Real good move WNBC, you idiots! It's always so great to see Howard mixing it up with these straight-laced, by-the-book interviewers. Pass this clip along Steve Lankford!

XBOX Moron story on Fox News

Check out this news story about an idiot 16 year old kid who received a stolen XBox, and then taunted the kid it was stolen from via the XBox's internet connection. What a dumb move that turned out to be, because the nerds went to work, and of course found out this kid's XBox user name, and then his youtube channel. This moron then got berated by nerds from all around the world, and he ended up leaving the XBox on the original owners doorstep. They showed his Youtube channel on the news for a second, and this clown seemed to be one of the worst rappers ever. They blurred the channel name, so if anyone finds it out (which I'm sure they already have), let us know, because I'd love to leave some comments on his videos.

Macho Man Interviewed by Arsenio Hall

Adam Schleichkorn ,
From 1989, Arsenio Hall interviews Randy "Macho Man" Savage. Macho man completely stays in character, and Arsenio of course interviews him like he's a real person, which of course makes this clip even more hilarious! "What's been your toughest challenge?" - Macho man says his upcoming match at the next Wrestlemania, haha. Arsenio also asks him how he was able to beat Andre the Giant because he's so much bigger, I think he might think wrestling is real! Every word out of Macho Man's mouth is straight comedy, but even funnier is that he's sharing the couch with a beautiful blond, who seems to be absolutely mortified!

George Bush Booed at 2008 Nationals Home Opener

Last Night in Washington, the Nationals opened the (North American) Baseball season against the Braves at their brand new ballpark in DC. President George Bush came out to throw the ceremonial first pitch, and got booed by the crowd. It was a mix of boos and cheers, but the boos were much more prominent, and of all places, in Washington, DC!! To his credit, even though the pitch may have been nowhere near the strike zone, he did have a little juice on that ball.
